Submitting to us is as easy as dropping an email... but, don't be too hasty. Before we can consider your work you need to make sure of the following
There should be a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 20 images. We might not publish all the images but would like to show at least 8 images. We hold the right to curate the collection and even though you might like to have it in a certain order we might change it due to our page format. So by submitting all your images you give us a better chance and more choices to show your images. All images should be labelled as your name with a number to show your preferred order. All images should be at least 1200 pix on the longest axis. By submitting the images you agree that you hold the sole copyright on the images and they are a product of your own making.
As photographers we are constantly asked to explain our work and why we made the choices we made. Accompany your image with a word or text file explaining your work as if you had to explain it to a magazine editor. Sometimes the word is as important as the image so make sure you send something that is concise but most important, digestible. We are not looking for 5 paragraphs of nonsensical rambling. The text must be between 250 and 1000 words. Explain your goals, what spoke to you to inspire you to do the work, how you made it. More than that and we will send it back for you to edit and cut it down. So just do it right from the start. If your work is part of your MA or PhD please de-academise (not a word) your work a bit. Academic speak works well for other academics but try and use less 6 syllable words and take out any references to your course.
The last bit is a little bit of information about you. Most importantly we need your social media links. So your Instagram, Twitter and Facebook links. If you have some images on and NFT platform somewhere include that too. We also need a short Bio. Where do you live, how long have you been taking photos and then also some random fact that might be interesting or amusing about yourself. Example: Chris is a photographer from Richmond in London who has been taking photos for 20 years. In his sparetime he likes to write StarTrek Fanfiction.
